Photographers wishing to add a listing to our referral listing may do so by clicking the payment button below. The fee is $150 annually for a listing in one region. Photographers must have a valid website and blog showcasing recent work before acceptance will be issued.

Great news! The Trash the Dress referral listing is outgrowing the TTD website! We will still have the referral listing on TTD, but we are going to create a bigger and better global website for all Modern Photographers, (not just wedding photographers in the USA).
The new site will be hosted at www.modernphotographers.com (not active yet). We will continue our tradition of only allowing qualified professional photographers to apply for the referral listing in order to help provide readers with a comprehensive listing of the best photographers available.
Modern Photographers will have directories in three areas (Wedding Photographers, Kids and Family Lifestyle Photographers, and Senior Photographers).
* Modern Photographers will hosts contests among members to be judged by the general public as well as contests to be judged by other photographers.
* We will advertise MP in major industry related magazines (bridal, parenting, and pop-culture).
* We will create viral campaigns (like TTD) toe help promote the members.
* We will use SEO to help optimize web rankings for members.
* Members will receive badges and/or banners to let their clients know that they have qualified for elite membership in Modern Photographers.
How can you be a part?
1. Current TTD Referral list members.
We will offer membership first and foremost to our current referral list here on TTD. If you are a current member of the TTD referral listing, you can become a Founder by purchasing a yearly listing on Modern Photographers now for only $75. (membership will be $850 for non-sponsored applicants once the site launches) Your lifetime membership fee will always be $75 annually- it will never go up. You have helped clear the way for Modern Photographers, and we want to reward you with a very special rate. This offer will expire on 9/30/2008.

2. Apply to be a Founder (must be sponsored)
If you would like to join the TTD referral listing prior to the launch of Modern Photographers, you may apply now if you have a sponsor. We are looking for photographers who care about education and making the industry better. Therefore, we are forming partnerships with leading educators in the industry which will allow certain seminar and workshop attendees to receive a significant discount on membership to Modern Photographers.
Sponsorship is obtained by attending workshops or seminars hosted by our partners. You qualify for sponsorship if you have attended any of the following:
A) The Bebbinar
B) Revolution with Jason Groupp
C) Leavin Las Vegas
(We are currently looking for more partners. If you have attended a workshop or seminar that has truly impacted you, please ask the host to contact us about a possible partnership. We are only looking for workshops that truly make an impact with teaching of substance)
Sponsorship can also be obtained through the recommendation of at least five (5) current members. (We will give members this opportunity in the coming weeks).
The fee for sponsored applicants is $150 for a year's listing. In exchange, you will receive a listing on TTD, and one year on Modern Photographers beginning on the date the site launches (scheduled for mid October). Joining now will qualify you as a MP Founder, and will ensure that you will pay no more than $150 annually for a Wedding Listing on Modern Photographers each year (listings under Family or Seniors will be charged extra). We are accepting a limited amount of applications through September 30th.
In order to qualify, you must:
a) Have shot at least 30 weddings as the lead shooter
b) Have an active blog showcasing your recent work
c) Have backup camera bodies and flashes, and alternate lenses in case of equipment failure.
d) Possess solid technical skills (lighting, exposure, white balance) We will determine this by looking through your recent work.
e) Submit a State Tax ID number with your payment for your business
f) Have a solid reputation in your local community as well as the photographic community
g) Have a creative, fresh, modern style.
h) Be sponsored (see above)
If you are confident that you have what it takes, please submit your payment via the link below, and include your Tax ID # and Website information with your payment. We will review your work, and make a decision within one week. We will notify you of your status within a week- and gladly give you feedback in addition to a full refund should you not qualify.
